Traditional Art, Practically Modern

A new take on traditional Zori sandals, inspired by the classic straw flip-flops, our sandals honor the iconic straw design in a modern fabric version while remaining meticulously hand-crafted to blend the old with the new.

What is a Zori?

A descendant of Waraji, which are light tie-on sandals, Zori are Japanese sandals traditionally made of rice straw and wood. While industrial production did become more common, many Japanese elderly have also taken upon making them as a hobby, passing them down to future generations and hand woven Zori can be found all over Japan.
